In a letter dated July 18, Bahrain FA had communicated Al Riffa FC’s request to AFC that the away match be held in Bahrain, following the home match scheduled for September 14.
The letter said Riffa FC made the request because of difficulties the club was facing in finding suitable travel routes to arrive in Vietnam within adequate timing for the away match, scheduled to be held on September 21.
In a letter dated July 21, AFC informed Bahrain FA that the venue of Riffa FC’s away match would remain in Vietnam, as scheduled.
